Your OFF BOOK purchase
OFF BOOK is our first Book, Volume 1: a digital filmed experience for aspiring and working musical theatre performers. It is an authored selection of theatre conversations shaped into Scenes. BACKSTAGE is a separate, optional toolkit membership and is not included. The planned running time is over two hours.
The current presale price is £39, saving £10 against the £49 release price. This is one payment for permanent access to this Volume. Check the final price and payment details on Stripe before paying. A Book purchase starts no subscription.
Confirmation, account and release
Your contract is formed when, following confirmed payment, our account system accepts and records your order and queues your purchase confirmation. A card authorisation or an unpaid checkout alone does not form the contract. Your confirmation gives the acceptance date, order reference, amount paid and cancellation deadline. You can correct your order before paying on Stripe. Orders and terms are provided in English; you can save or print these terms.
After confirmed payment, the account system sends a purchase confirmation and, for a new account, a private password setup link. Use your purchase email to sign in. Before release, your account shows your confirmed presale; it does not give access to paid films or beta content. Founding Company recognition and the invitation to the exclusive app and BACKSTAGE beta are future benefits; accepting the invitation or viewing free public previews does not waive your OFF BOOK cancellation right. We will explain any separate beta terms before access is offered.
Access is planned for December 2026. On release, sign in to open your OFF BOOK. My Library is the destination for your owned Books.
Permanent access means no recurring fee is required to retain access to the purchased Volume. An internet connection, a supported web browser and your account are needed for online viewing. This is digital access, not a printed Book. Keep your sign-in details private. The purchase does not give permission to distribute or publicly screen the films. Video playback requires a browser that supports HTML5 video and a connection suitable for streaming. Contact us before purchase if you have questions about compatibility or accessibility.
Optional Backstage
BACKSTAGE is a toolkit in development. Access options, pricing and any included book-purchase benefits will be confirmed before launch. Buying OFF BOOK starts no BACKSTAGE subscription. Any future subscription will require a separate agreement showing its price, renewal and cancellation terms.
Contributor codes
A contributor code credits the person who introduced you to OFF BOOK. Any BACKSTAGE launch benefits and access terms will be confirmed before you choose to join. No subscription starts with your book purchase. Standard contributors receive a fixed 10% commission on qualifying attributed sales. Established attribution applies to future eligible purchases.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel OFF BOOK for any reason from contract acceptance until the end of 14 days after the day the contract is entered into. The period runs from order acceptance after confirmed payment, not from the release date. Your confirmation states the deadline in UK time. Presale purchases do not require you to waive this right.
To cancel, email hello@thisisactone.com or write to the business address below with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. Your order email or receipt reference helps us locate the purchase. You do not have to give a reason or use a form. Send your cancellation before the deadline. We refund the original payment method within 14 days after you tell us, without a cancellation fee.
If OFF BOOK is available during your cancellation period, you may separately request early digital supply. Before supply begins, we ask for your express consent and acknowledgement that your change-of-mind cancellation right will end when supply begins, and send confirmation you can keep. You may instead wait until the period ends. Payment, sign-in, claiming a gift and watching free public previews do not by themselves waive this right. A gift purchaser must make any early-supply request for their gift; a recipient cannot waive the purchaser’s right.
We do not offer change-of-mind refunds after the applicable cancellation period or after it has validly ended through early supply. If required cancellation information was not supplied, the statutory period may be extended. These updated terms do not shorten rights attached to earlier orders. Your statutory rights for faulty, misdescribed, unavailable or undelivered digital content remain unaffected.
Optional cancellation form
You may email a clear cancellation request; you do not have to use a form. To use this model wording, send it to hello@thisisactone.com: “I give notice that I cancel my contract for OFF BOOK Volume 1. Ordered on: [purchase date]. Customer name: [your name]. Order email or receipt number: [your reference]. Customer address: [your address]. Date: [today’s date].” For a paper request, include your signature. Postal requests should use the business address in the legal information below.
Release changes
If the planned release changes materially, we will contact purchasers. If we cannot supply the purchased Volume, you may request a refund. Your rights when digital content is faulty or not supplied remain unaffected.
Problems and your rights
If you cannot access your purchase, or it is faulty or not as described, contact hello@thisisactone.com with your purchase email or receipt reference. Do not send your password or full payment card details. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without taking away mandatory protections or rights to bring a claim available where you live. Changes to these terms do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase.
OFF BOOK gifts
A gift purchase creates an unclaimed Book for the named recipient and does not give the purchaser Book ownership. The recipient must use the named email and claim a secure invitation. Viewing opens on release. You can correct or resend an unclaimed gift in Your gifts; replacing a link invalidates the old one. If the recipient already owns OFF BOOK, the gift remains unclaimed for correction or support. Refunds and payment disputes can remove gift access. Backstage is not included.
